Greetings from a train heading south, through the Karawankans to Slovenia. Just boarded at Villach Hbf. after an amazing weekend in Carinthia. Landed in Vienna on Friday and hightailed it like a squirrel on roller-skates south to Graz for a private gig in the city. Gig went great, people were great and sold more CD’s than had anticipated. And so, after the first Austrian gig I was left with the dilemma of running out of CD’s even before I got to Ljubljana.
My fears were compounded after the second show at the Nuart Farm Festival in Waisenberg, Carinthia, when I sold more CD’s than expected and was left phoning home to get more CD’s shipped on to Ruse and the remaining gigs in Slovenia… I have 10 CD’s for tonights gig in Ljubljana. Safe to say… I can’t wait!
I must say a huge thank you to all my friends and family in Carinthia. A huge and grateful hug with love to the Nuarts for, as always, being the best of friends and kindest of families. This years festival was a step up from last year and can’t wait for 2014! Okay so it rained… first rain after a long dry spell… but we made it work and the after show party in the barn will always be a night to remember!!! Thanks also to Simone for a great write up! (See below).
So how did I get CD’s so wrong. It’s simple really! Failed to plan!!! A lesson to be learned I feel! Roll on tonights show and a cool evening in a new venue – Celnice – KUD Sestava, Ljubljana!
